MTR NMR Facility Overview
Bruker Avance NEO 800 MHz NMR with shielded magnet
- 5-channel console with Z-gradient amplifier, GaAs high performance/low noise preamplifiers, 2H observation/decoupling capability.
- SampleCase autosampler for up to 24 samples with sample cooling capability to 6°C;
- BCU II cooling unit, cools probes down to -80 °C.
- 5 mm helium cryogenic HCN probe with 19F capability in the 1H channel, VT range -40°C to +150°C. 2 - 4 times improved sensitivity as compared to room temperature probe.
- 3.2 mm HCN solid state MAS probe with spinning rate up to 24 kHz, VT range -80°C to +80°C.
- Phoenix NMR 1.6 mm MAS SB X/Y/19F/1H probe with spinning rates up to 40 kHz (spinning module size can be switched to 2.5 mm which spins up to 32 kHz).
- Nitrogen reliquification for up to 1-year refill cycle to maximize NMR experiment time.

- 5-mm gradient OneNMR Probe optimized for both X-Nucleus and 1H sensitivity equipped with Optima automated tune module for hands-free tuning (15N to 31P on low band and 1H/19F on high band channel). -120°C to +100°C sample temperature range.
- FTS chiller down to -80°C.
- 7600AS 96 sample robotic sample changer.
- VnmrJ4.2 spectrometer software.
Bruker Avance NEO 600 MHz Solid State NMR spectrometer
- Three channel system optimized for Sold State NMR.
- 1.3, 3.2, and 4 mm MAS probes are available. The 1.3 and 3.2 mm probes are H/C/N whereas the 4 mm is an automated H/X iProbe.
- BCU II for low temperature NMR down to -80C.
- Running TopSpin 4.3.
Varian 400 MHz Infinity-Plus Solid-State NMR spectrometer
- Three channel consoles for dual low-band and one high-band operation.
- Wide bore magnet.
- Variety of NMR probes including 4-mm HXY MAS, 5-mm and 6-mm HX MAS, and deuterium wideline probe.
- Spinsight NMR software.
Facility support hardware/software
- Four Linux datastations running VnmrJ3.1 or VnmrJ4.2 for data processing.
- 200 seat site license for Mnova NMR processing software.
- A variety of NMR probes for triple resonance work and low-gamma nuclei.
- 500 MHz and 1 GHz Oscilloscopes for high power tuning and instrument troubleshooting.
